AN UNFORGETTABLE INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE

22-04-2026

From 13 April to 17 April, 2026 Juxhin Caushi from Tirana University in Albania visited Šiaulių valstybinė kolegija / Higher Education Institution as a part of the Erasmus+ training mobility programme. His visit was aligned with the institution’s International Week.

The guest enjoyed his experience in Šiauliai. This is how he describes his mobility:

„There are some weeks you enjoy… and then there are weeks you never forget. The International Week at Šiaulių valstybinė kolegija / Higher Education Institution in Lithuania, Šiauliai, was definitely the second kind.

From the first moment we arrived, everything felt special. The organization was on another level – every detail was carefully planned, every activity meaningful, and every person involved made us feel welcome. It wasn’t just an event; it was an experience built with heart.

What made this week truly unforgettable was the people behind it. I honestly don’t have enough words to describe how amazing the team was. Always smiling, always ready to help, always making sure everyone felt included. A special thank you goes to Guoda, Eglė, and Dovydas – you didn’t just organize a week; you created memories that will stay with us for a lifetime.

During the week, we had the chance to explore some of the most beautiful and unique places in Lithuania. Visiting the Hill of Crosses was something truly powerful – thousands of crosses, each with its own story, creating a place full of emotion and history. We also explored the charming Biržai Castle, which felt like stepping into another time.

Of course, no international experience is complete without food – and Lithuania did not disappoint. Yes… a lot of potatoes, but honestly, we loved it! Every dish had its own flavor and tradition, and it was great to experience the local cuisine in such an authentic way.

The program itself was full of energy. We joined interactive workshops, shared ideas, learned from each other, and built connections with people from different countries. It wasn’t just about learning – it was about exchanging cultures, perspectives, and experiences.

One of the highlights was definitely the traditional drink degustation night, combined with a live show of traditional Lithuanian costumes. It was such a fun and vibrant evening – music, culture, laughter, and a real taste of Lithuanian traditions all in one place.

Looking back, it’s hard to describe this week in just a few words. It was inspiring, fun, emotional, and full of moments that brought people together. It reminded us how powerful international connections can be and how much we can learn from each other.

Thank you again to everyone who made this possible. Cheers from Albania“
