Building on strong foundations: ASTI representatives return to Šiaulių valstybinė kolegija

23-06-2026

From 15 June to 19 June 2026, Zafar Juraev and Yodgorbek Ismoiljonov from Andijan State Technical Institute in Uzbekistan visited Šiaulių valstybinė kolegija / Higher Education Institution as part of the Erasmus+ training mobility programme.

Since this was not their first time at the institution, it provided a wonderful opportunity to further strengthen the already established partnership.  We are sharing their visit experience:

“Returning to Šiauliai felt like visiting old friends, as this was not our first time here. It was a great pleasure to come back to Šiaulių valstybinė kolegija/ Higher Education Institution and see how our partnership continues to grow. From the very first moment, the atmosphere was exceptionally warm, welcoming, and professional.

One of the key highlights of our return visit was our meeting at the International Relations Office. Building on our previous discussions, we engaged in deep and fruitful talks focused on strengthening our institutional ties, expanding our long-term cooperation, and creating new avenues for student and staff mobility between our institutions.

We were also highly impressed during our visit to the Engineering Sciences Department. The comprehensive tour of their modern, well-equipped laboratories gave us a fantastic insight into their latest practical training methods. It opened up great new ideas for joint collaborative research, future innovative projects, and academic exchange in the field of engineering.

Beyond the academic agenda, the hosts organized a wonderful cultural trip to Naisiai. It was a beautiful experience that allowed us to immerse ourselves further in the local heritage, history, and the scenic landscapes of Lithuania, adding a memorable social touch to our journey.

Overall, our return visit to Šiauliai was both professionally enriching and culturally rewarding. We return to Uzbekistan with fresh ideas, even stronger institutional connections, and very positive impressions. We would like to express our sincere thanks to the team at Šiaulių valstybinė kolegija / Higher Education Institution for their outstanding hospitality and continued commitment to cooperation.”
