Erasmus+ Mobility: Hanoi University Staff Exchange at Šiaulių Valstybinė Kolegija
Professor Thi Minh Tien Nguyen from Hanoi University, Vietnam, participated in an Erasmus+ mobility program for teaching staff at Šiaulių Valstybinė Kolegija from March 3rd to 7th. During her visit, she conducted lectures for students in the Business and Accounting Department.
Professor shared her experience about the mobility:
"For me, it was the most enriching trip I have ever taken, allowing me to gain not only knowledge, experience, and professional skills but also social and cultural insights into European countries.
During my mobility period at the receiving institution, I was fortunate to meet various other teaching staff from different universities and countries, as well as the staff of the receiving institution. Together, we discussed curriculum design, teaching modules, and potential cooperation activities, such as student exchanges and joint research projects. Additionally, during lunch, dinner, and cultural activities, we exchanged ideas about teaching methods, student performance, incentive and promotion policies, and university administration, which differ across countries. We even had intense debates on what we should and should not do to adapt our competencies to respective institutions in order to make the best contributions. I learned a great deal from my international colleagues. It was truly a valuable mobility experience, both personally and professionally.
Beyond teaching, I also had the opportunity to participate in various activities organized by the host institution, including cultural exchanges, a visit to the chocolate museum, attending a local festival, and enjoying the local cuisine. The staff at the International Office, who arranged the trip for us, were incredibly kind and helpful. From the moment I arrived, I felt at home among my colleagues and the people I met. It was a wonderful and unforgettable experience.
My heartfelt thanks to the European Union and Šiaulių valstybinė kolegija for making this meaningful experience possible."
