ERASMUS+ STAFF WEEK WAS AN UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE
From April 13 to 17, 2026 Asmar Valiyeva from Western Caspian University in Azerbaijan visited Šiaulių valstybinė kolegija / Higher Education Institution as a part of the Erasmus+ training mobility programme and participated in the International Week activities.

“Taking part in the 10th International Staff Week "We Are Communication" at Šiaulių valstybinė kolegija / Higher Education Institution in Lithuania was an incredibly rewarding experience. As a participant in the Erasmus+ programme, this trip offered a new and practical dimension to my professional journey by allowing me to engage directly with an international academic environment and connect with colleagues from across Europe.
Working at Šiaulių valstybinė kolegija / Higher Education Institution for the week was both peaceful and fulfilling. During week, I took part in a rich and carefully organized programme that combined professional workshops, campus tours, and cultural activities. The workshops were interactive and discussion-led, which made it easy to exchange ideas and learn from the experiences of colleagues from different countries and academic backgrounds. Also, the national dinner at restaurant "Žemaitis" was a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow participants in a warm and relaxed setting.
I had the honor of being welcomed by the host institution's team, whose exceptional hospitality and consistent support played a pivotal role in making this experience both productive and memorable. The professionalism, warmth, and dedication to international cooperation shown by the staff at Šiaulių valstybinė kolegija / Higher Education Institution made every participant feel genuinely valued and included.
To colleagues considering an Erasmus+ Staff Week, my advice is to embrace the experience wholeheartedly: be open to new perspectives, immerse yourself in the local culture, and take every opportunity to learn and grow both personally and professionally.
