Šiauliai State University of Applied Sciences joins joint statement by European university alliances
As a member of the NEOLAiA European University Alliance, Šiauliai State University of Applied Sciences has joined other European higher education institutions in signing a statement calling for explicit recognition of the role of European University Alliances in strengthening Europe’s competitiveness, sovereignty and skills.
The statement, “For an explicit recognition of European University Alliances as pillars of Europe’s competitiveness, sovereignty and skills,” calls on the Council of the European Union and the European Parliament to recognise and support the alliances in the 2028–2034 Multiannual Financial Framework and related EU programmes.
Šiauliai State University of Applied Sciences is one of six NEOLAiA member institutions that signed the statement. The other signatories are the University of Jaén, the University of Nicosia, Örebro University, the University of Salerno and the University of Tours.
Through NEOLAiA, Šiauliai State University of Applied Sciences works with its partners to create opportunities for learning and international cooperation, connect research with regional needs, and encourage the exchange of knowledge across Europe. The joint statement highlights how this collaboration can help Europe develop the skills needed for the future and address challenges facing society.
