The Programme of the Conference “Higher Education for Sustainable Development of a Smart Region”

The traditional annual international scientific conference “Higher Education for Sustainable Development of a Smart Region” will be held on 16 April. The conference programme is now available.

The aim of the international scientific conference held every spring at Šiaulių valstybinė kolegija is to promote scientific discussion and develop cooperation between researchers from different countries.

Traditionally, the conference is organized together with partners. This year's conference partners include Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University (Turkey), Polytechnic Institute of Bragança (Portugal), Rey Juan Carlos University (Spain), University of Ostrava (Czech Republic), Porto Polytechnic Institute (Portugal), Selcuk University (Turkey), Ştefan cel Mare University of Suceava (Romania) and UNESCO Department on Communication Research (Spain).

Plenary session starts at 9.30 a.m. After the plenary session, the work will continue in five sections. Scientists will discuss the impact of changes in higher education on the training of highly qualified specialists, evidence-based health care practices in the context of holistic health, the role of social dialogue and responsibility in the face of global changes, technological change and its impact on smart societies, applied accounting, finance, and auditing in the context of sustainable business, and artificial intelligence in science and education.

In total, almost 50 papers prepared by researchers from the Czech Republic, Great Britain, Greece, Spain, Latvia, Poland, the Republic of South Africa, Romania, Sakartvelo, Ukraine, Germany and, of course, Lithuania are scheduled to be presented.

The conference will be held at Šiaulių valstybinė kolegija (Aušros al. 40) and remotely. The languages of the conference are Lithuanian and English.

Conference participants will be invited to prepare articles based on their presentations. It is planned to publish articles in the peer-reviewed journal "Professional Studies: Theory and Practice” (ISSN 2345-0576). The journal is published and articles are uploaded to the Open Journal System OJS: https://ojs.svako.lt/
